Andy Lee Named CEO of Sipcam Agro USA, Inc. and ADVAN, LLC
The Board of Directors of agrochemical companies Sipcam Agro USA, Inc. and ADVAN, LLC announced the appointment of Andy D. Lee as Chief Executive Officer of ADVAN and Sipcam Agro USA today. Lee has extensive experience within the agrochemical industry, having held senior leadership roles with BASF Corporation and other chemical companies in the United States and Europe.
Lee said, “I am delighted to be joining Sipcam and ADVAN. Growers and the channel need a reliable, trustworthy source of products and information to get the best out of every acre. Sipcam and ADVAN are uniquely positioned to meet these needs.”
Prior to his appointment as CEO of Sipcam and ADVAN, Lee was Director of the U.S. Crop Protection Business for BASF Corporation, Research Triangle Park, NC. Earlier in his career, Lee held positions in global marketing for BASF in Parsippany, NJ and for American Home Products, NJ. Before his move to the U.S., Lee was based in Brussels with American Cyanamid where he served as technical director and then commercial director for Europe. He has also held a variety of technical and commercial positions with Cyanamid U.K. and Shell Nickerson Seed Company. Lee obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology from Hertfordshire University, U.K.

Advan LLC is granted the right to market Contans® WG, a fungicide for control of Sclerotinia in vegetable and field crops, in the U.S. by the manufacturer of Contans, Prophyta Biologischer Pflanzenschutz. Botanical IGR Neemix® 4.5 Gets Lower REI and Signal Word on Product Label
Federal EPA approves two significant changes to the product label of Neemix 4.5, a botanical insect growth regulator from Advan LLC. The signal word for Neemix 4.5 has been reduced to “caution,” and its re-entry interval (REI) now allows growers to return to their fields four short hours after the product has been applied. Advan management says the less-restrictive changes should broaden the use of Neemix 4.5, which is OMRI-approved and used by organic and conventional growers to control aphid, leafminer, whitefly and thrips in specialty agriculture crops.... »Read more

Welcome, Veronica!
Veronica Schellenschlager has joined the Advan LLC as Administrative Assistant. Veronica provides administrative and operational support for the sales and marketing team’s activities. With the increased order entry activity we have experienced since the creation of Advan, Veronica also helps backup our customer service and logistical support people. Veronica reports directly to Tim Damico, but her administrative functions are designed to serve the entire sales and marketing efforts.
Veronica comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience, including customer sales and service, data processing and business office management. Prior to Advan, Veronica was Customer Service Sales Manager for the Limited Store; she served as Data Technician and Human Services Aid for Anne Arundel County, and she was an Administrative Assistant for Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care and for Honeywell Information Systems.
