Advan Introduces New Herbicide, Insecticide and Plant Nutrient Products

Advan LLC continues to aggressively expand its North American turf & ornamental product offerings by introducing three new products: Eject™ 75WDG quinclorac herbicide, Enforce™ imidacloprid insecticide and Phyte-Off™ plant nutrient.

Advan Turf & Ornamental Business Manager Robert Yarborough said the new products feature active ingredients turfgrass managers rely on every day in easy-to-use reliable formulations that Advan products are known for. “Our products are needed, they are formulated to work and work well, and they are priced for optimum value,” Yarborough said, adding that Eject, Enforce and Phyte-Off are just the first of new product introductions Advan expects to announce during 2007.

Eject 75 WDG offers extended postemergence control of grassy and broadleaf weeds, including young and mature crabgrass, foxtail, barnyardgrass, clover, dandelion and speedwell. Eject may be applied just prior to or immediately after seeding, overseeding or sprigging in most situations.

Enforce delivers long-lasting white grub protection. It is also effective against mole crickets, billbug larvae, annual bluegrass weevil, cutworms, chinchbugs and European crane fly. Enforce is best used as a preventive before egg lay, but it also offers curative action through second instar.

Phyte-Off is a foliar fertilizer that contains phosphorus in phosphite form (PO3) rather than in phosphate (PO4) form. Can be used as a starter fertilizer to improve a plant’s ability to withstand and recover from stress. Phyte-Off can be tank mixed with Advan’s Echo® chlorothalonil fungicide.
